What is best medicine for us?
First of all it is consciously prepared medicine. Always fresh and high in quality. Made by people who carry the values of the traditions.
Our journey began in 2008 with the decision of moving to Colombia, since then we have been working deeply with the plant medicines of the Amazon now extending it to all plant medicines of the world including the Ayurvedic perspective and formulas.
How did we start promoting Amazonian tribal medicines with an online store?
One day we were traveling to remote areas of Acre, Brazil where we were told that we had to take the bus from Rio Branco to Tarauaca, where indigenous tribes are living. They said the journey would have taken around 15 hours. It was really challenging when it actually took around 18 hours in the Amazon forest. At the end, we were there. Even though there were no tourists around, people were really helpful. We headed to the villages to meet indigenous tribes whom tradition have had as a healing method for thousands of years.
They were very friendly towards us and their hospitality was unforgettable. They were sharing their knowledge and wisdom. We were so amazed by the village of a Kaxinawa tribe (Huni Kuin) that we promised to come back to stay longer.
On our way back (another 17 hours of bus journey), we started to brainstorm about the online store which we would have liked to create.
Each of these healing processes would bring us joy. The joy of life, the joy of being and the joy of connecting with our souls. Then we got it, it should have been ‘ancient joys’.
It’s important to note that all the medicine we sell is coming from tribal sources and by buying these medicines you are also giving an economical support to those tribes which most of them doesn’t have any other income source.
