What Is Yawanawa Hapé

In Brazil’s most western region, in the state of Acre, in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest, about one thousand indigenous people live today in seven Yawanawá villages. As Nixiwaka Yawanawa -a member of tribo Yawanawa, works for raising awareness of the rights of Amazon Indians- explains in an interview, Yawanawa People means “The People of the Wild Boar”.
They are very well-known with their hapé tradition. Since time immemorial, the Yawanawa people have been using hapé as they call it ‘rume’ (mapacho with bark of a specific tree) as part of their tradition and culture.
Yawanawa Tsunu Hapé
One of the most famous hapé of Yawanawa tribe (tribo) is Yawanawa Tsunu hapé. The classic and the well-known one among the hapé users. It has a good balance between strength and smoothness. As it contains more ashes it has more greyish color than the usual tsunu blends. This special hapé has an unusually cleansing and grounding effect. Its feminine nature provides a high and uplifting experience and a profound focus and grounding.
Yawanawa Parica Hapé
Yawanawa Parica is a cleansing hapé. It ingredients Moi tabaco and Parica tree ashes. Parica is the Yopo tree. This tree is also sacramentally and uses in different parts of South America. It contains more ashes than the other hapé types. Parica can be used for energy cleansing in general and mental detox. It works on the whole body.
Yawanawa Cumaru Hapé
Yawanawa Cumaru is a strong but rich aromatic hapé from Yawanawa tribe, containing fermented mapacho and cumaru ashes with cumaru beans. It is a very energetic but also cleansing hapé for the mind. Cumaru has a rich aroma (like vanilla) which makes it also a very good mind harmonising cure amongst the other uplifting hapés. It works on the head chakras.
Yawanawa Mulateiro Hapé
Yawanawa Mulateiro is a strong hapé, it contains mulateiro ashes and fermented mapacho. It is strong, uplifting, and has a calming effect on the mind. Mostly works on the higher chakras.
Yawanawa Canelerio Hapé
Canelerio is another very balanced hapé from Yawanawa tribe, made of fermented wild mapacho and Canelerio tree ashes. This aromatic but strong hapé gives strengh to the mind and inner vision, on the other hand brings clarity to the mind. It is one of the best amongst uplifting hapés.
Yawanawa Samauma Hapé
Samauma hapé which contains samauma tree ashes and fermented wild tabaco is a strong purgative hapé which gives its user a strong cleansing of the whole system. Samauma is said to be the father of the rainforest, carrying the strong healing vibration of the Amazon.
